London Labour Women’s Conference

The Conference is an exciting event being organised by London Labour women in London in support of International Women’s Day.

Come and join Labour MPs, MEPs, councillors, Assembly members, women’s officers, party members and supporters for a day of debate, discussion, campaign tips and workshops. Speakers confirmed include the Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Jennette Arnold AM, Cllr Ruth Cadbury(Hounslow) Fiona Twycross AM, Cllr Lisa Homan (Hammersmith and Fulham), Cllr Sarah Hayward (Leader, Camden Council), Val Shawcross AM, Cllr Catherine West (Leader, Islington Council), Seema Malhotra MP, Emma Burnell (Blogger, Scarlett Standard and Labour Housing), Ivana Bartoletti (Deputy Director, Fabian Women’s Network). The day will include panel discussions on hot political topics, ‘open mic’ session, breakout sessions on how to increase the number of women in public life and on public boards, the future of local government, tackling violence against women, and the role of social media in politics and campaigning.

Please note – you do not have to be a party member to attend – supporters welcome so please feel free to bring a friend (space permitting!)

It’s on Saturday 23 March 2013 from 10.00am – 4.00pm at Montague Hall in Hounslow, West London. £5 to cover the cost of refreshments. Payment can be made on the day.
