FWN fringe event: What do women stand to lose or gain from Brexit?

With 1 million more women voters than men eligible to vote in the EU referendum and 23% of women still undecided about which way to vote, women’s vote will play a key role in determining the outcome of the referendum.

The EU referendum debate has been mostly dominated by male voices thus far and women report confusion about the arguments put forward by both of the designated campaigns.

We are holding a fringe event focussing on these issues as part of this year’s Fabian Summer Conference, entitled ‘EU Referendum: What do women stand to lose or gain from Brexit?’

When: 13:30-14:30, 21st May 2016

Where: TUC Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell Street, London, WC1b 3LS (Meeting Room 1)

Confirmed panellists:

  1. Lucy Thomas, Campaign Director at Britain Stronger In Europe

  2. Anna Firth, Co-Chair and Founder of Women for Britain

  3. Sue Cohen, Women’s Budget Group

  4. Kymberly Loeb, Britain Thinks

  5. Paulina Jakubec (panel chair), Fabian Women’s Network

The conference agenda is available here, and tickets are available here.
